• CFP: 5 years of Odissi Odyssey at UNC Charlotte

  Call for Proposals for Odissi Odyssey: Dancing Worlds Conference on May 3-4 2025 at UNC Charlotte, NC. This is a call for solo presentations, ensemble works, and research sharing. The organizing committee will work hard to be as inclusive as possible. This will be the five-year anniversary of this annual conference.

• Dance and Community Scouts

  This conference provides a unique opportunity for dance students at the conference. Dance students will need to complete the four-step evaluation (performing, creating, responding, and connecting) to earn their tag of 'Dance and Community Scout' (dNc Scout).

  Benefits of Being a dNc Scout

  • Recognition of artistic merit, cultural immersion, critical understanding of performance, academic achievement, and leadership 
  • Formal Recognition at the Emerging Creatives Showcase on July 7-13 2025 at UNC Charlotte
  • Mentorship and Leadership opportunities through the Dance and Community Research Institute
