Also, our Black Experience Special Issue will be published shortly and includes relevant scholarship to the times we are living in. Currently we are preparing a Critical Race Theory, Adult Education & Social Justice Issue for anticipated publication in early 2023.  The Call for this CRT issue is limited in scope so please examine carefully. At this tiime, we are accepting no other submissions. Open calls should resume in 2023.

                            Special Issue - Critical Race Theory and Adult Education   

     Guest Editor: Elliott Dawes (LL.M) Executive Officer of Diversity at Baruch College

    Recently near hysteria has erupted across the country through the media, in legislative chambers, at community board meetings, and in state education forums around the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT).  Five states – Arkansas, Idaho, Florida, Oklahoma, and Alabama – are banning the teaching of CRT in K-12 schools. The impact upon higher education and adult education programs funded by federal and state monies is unclear and worrisome. This special issue of DSJ will address this controversial theory.
